Medvedev goes to war

Appearing in 5 channels of Russian TV President Medvedev said that Russia would assign quintillions of rubles for armaments, that he was going to place missiles as an answer to the anti-missile shield and that he would not allow religious “extremists” to influence the religious life in Russia.

According to Medvedev, the “conflict” in Georgia showed a necessity of a quick technical modernization of the Russian army and therefore he supported high subsidies for the Russian armament and the army.

Asked about the prospects of the situation in North Africa, he answered: “After the African spring there will be winter” and he made it clear that Russia would continue to defend its interests in this field in a fierce way.

He praised the cabinet for a decrease in inflation up to 4% and for protecting the Russian economy against the results of the world crisis. He spoke quite ironically about the public television, claiming that all around the world the television is dependent on its owner and even in France or Great Britain it is the President or Prime Minister who appoints the head of the television.
