76th th Annual White and Red Ball

The year 2014 marked the 75 th anniversary of the founding of this organization. On September 2, 1939 in response to the outbreak of WWII a group of young women of Polish ancestry formed this organization, chartered in the State of Illinois and it has been in existence since then. It’s goal is philanthropy to social, cultural and educational needs of the Polish American Community.

At its initial founding the greatest need was the care for the Polish victims of war, wherever fate has led them. With times the needs have changed and have been changing.

In the year 2014-2015 we celebrate our proud and well documented presence in Chicago and our philanthropy around the world. It is now permanently documented in our archives now deposited at Loyola University’s Women and Leadership program.

March 7, 2014 Legion will celebrate its 76th th Annual White and Red Ball at the Grand Ballroom of Chicago Hilton Hotel, marking the 70th anniversary of annual presentation of debutantes at this event.
We are part of the Chicago ethnic tapestry and would like to invite everyone to celebrate with us the joy of our history of service to others.
