Besides full length features, there are documentaries, and some student shorts. This year the Film Festival committee is chaired by Dr. Andrzej Myc. Myc works for the University of Michigan at the Nanotechnology Institute for Medicine and Biological Sciences.
Friday’s showings will be at the Michigan Theater. Tickets are $12 for general audience and $8 for students and seniors; admission is free to the documentary shorts program on Saturday, November 10 at 1:00 p.m. There will be discussion post film showings on Saturday afternoon.
Since its beginning in 1993, the Festival has promoted Polish culture by offering audiences an opportunity to see a broad range of movie styles present in today’s Poland. Also dialogue is established between Ann Arbor cinema enthusiasts, academia and up and coming filmmaking artists in Poland. All presentations are in English or have English sub-titles.
A reception with the festival guests and sponsors, and the committee organizers will take place after the last showing on Saturday, November 10th at Amadeus Restaurant at 122 East Washington, downtown Ann Arbor. 731.665.8767
