Wystawa „Sztuka dla serca” (”Art for Heart”) na rzecz Fundacji Dar Serca i Muzeum Polskiego w Ameryce
Art for Heart – A weekend of art to benefit The Polish Museum of America and Gift from the Heart Foundation, assisting children with disabilities since 1988: Fri – Sun, Sept. 30-Oct. 2.
Gift from the Heart Foundation (Dar Serca) and The Polish Museum of America have united to organize a fundraising weekend of art to present the works of several innovative and distinguished Chicago-area Polish artists, ranging from painters to sculptors to photographers. All artwork will be available for sale. Come meet the artists and enjoy a night of music and appetizers, including a cash bar, at the Opening Night Reception on Friday, Sept. 30 from 7-11 p.m. at The Polish Museum of America, located at 984 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL. The museum will also be open Saturday from 12-7 p.m. and Sunday from 12-6 p.m. Each day promises a variety of art and music for guests from throughout the community. Admission is $5 and additional funds will be raised from sales of art and a cash bar. Souvenir event books will also be available. All proceeds will jointly benefit Gift from the Heart Foundation (Dar Serca) and The Polish Museum of America.
Gift from the Heart Foundation, or Dar Serca, is a non-profit 501 (c) organization that helps children with disabilities receive the medical treatment that they urgently need. The Foundation brings seriously ill and disabled children from European countries to the US and helps them receive high-quality medical care and treatments that are unattainable in their home countries. Over the past 20 years, Gift from the Heart Foundation has helped several hundred children receive modern medical treatments from the highest-quality clinics in the United States.
The Polish Museum of America is one of the oldest and largest ethnic museums in the United States and offers visitors a range of exhibits, resources and activities related to Polish history, culture and heritage, as well as Polish-American history. Its all-inclusive exhibits and cultural events are both educational and entertaining while supporting the entire community. Its Library and extensive Archives have rendered invaluable services to historians, researchers, students and genealogists.

Serdecznie zapraszamy miłośników sztuki i ludzi dobrego serca do obejrzenia najnowszych prac znanych współczesnych polskich artystów i miłego spędzenia wieczoru podczas wystawy „Sztuka dla serca”. Pomoc potrzebującym dzieciom z Europy w leczeniu w Stanach Zjednoczonych i wsparcie działalności MPA to główne cele ekspozycji, która odbędzię się od piątku, 30 września do niedzieli, 2 października 2011.
Fundacja Dar Serca i Muzeum Polskie w Ameryce współpracują przy tworzeniu charytatywnego weekendu ze sztuką. Kilkunastu wybitnie utalentowanych polskich malarzy, rzeźbiarzy i fotografów z okolic Chicago zaprezentuje swoje dzieła, które będą przeznaczone na sprzedaż. Goście będą mieli możliwość poznania artystów, posmakowania polskich przekąsek i napojów alkoholowych w czasie przyjęcia z okazji uroczystego otwarcia wystawy. Wernisaż odbędzie się w piątek, 30 września, w godz. 19.00-23.00 w MPA, które mieści się w Chicago (984 N. Milwaukee Avenue). Muzeum będzie też otwarte w sobotę od 12.00 do 19.00 i niedzielę od 12.00 do 18.00. Każdy dzień gwarantuje mnóstwo atrakcji wszystkim odwiedzającym: różnorodność sztuki oraz dobrą muzykę. Opłata za wstęp wynosi 5$. Dodatkowe fundusze zostaną pozyskane ze sprzedaży dzieł sztuki i napojów alkoholowych. Wystawie towarzyszy katalog. Cały dochód przeznaczony zostanie na Fundację Dar Serca i MPA.
Fundacja Dar Serca jest organizacją charytatywną, umożliwiającą leczenie ciężko chorym i niepełnosprawnym dzieciom z Polski i innych krajów Europy, które nie mają szans na pomoc u siebie. W ciągu dwudziestu lat działalności fundacja ta przyjęła i zaopiekowała się kilkuset dziećmi, które dzięki temu odbyły leczenie w nowoczesnych klinikach.
Muzeum Polskie w Ameryce jest jednym z najstarszych i największych muzeów etnicznych w Stanach Zjednoczonych. Posiada bogatą kolekcję sztuki, pamiątek historycznych i dokumentów oraz przechowuje bezcenny księgozbiór. Bibliotekę i Archiwum odwiedza wielu historyków, naukowców, studentów i genealogów. MPA prowadzi aktywną działalność na rzecz ochrony i promocji dziedzictwa kulturowego.
