On April 13, 2013 at White Eagle Banquets (Niles IL) Polish American Congress honored newly elected Polish-American officials. This year Polish-American community have had done tremendous job electing several officials in suburban Chicago.  Among newly elected officials are Andrew Przybylo ( village of Niles), James Chmura ( villages of Norridge), Matt Bogusz (village of  Des Plaines), and Bob Bilinski ( village of Wilmette). Also, along with elected officials were present Angelo “Skip” Saviano ( village of Elmwood Park), Barbara Piltaver (village of Schiller Park) and Barrett Pedersen (village of Franklin Park).

Polish American Congress is aware that Poles residing in Chicagoland area have to select qualified candidates to run for public positions. The gap that has been made within last decade must be fulfilled by the members of our community. Now, we made a big step forward electing Polish-American individuals where Poles are present the most. As well, we have to encourage Polish-American community to vote and being present in community life.
