If you did, you know why the Taste is easily Chicago‘s largest festival celebrating the city’s rich Polish heritage. And if you didn’t, just visit QwickGuide, or click on the photos to see what you missed, or to relive the fun atmosphere!
Although, as a Chamber, we try not to make political endorsements, in a very bipartisan spirit, we were very pleased to meet and greet a number of individuals who made a point of stopping by the PACC tent during this year’s Taste, including Rep. Mike Quigly; Judge Aurelia Pucinski; Ald. Ricardo Munoz (22nd); Ald. John Arena (45th); Ald. Joe Moore (49th); candidate for Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Barbara Moore; Kathy Puchala of the State of IL Budget Office; president of Cook County Board, Toni Preckwinkle; and last but certainly not least, presidential candidate and former Speaker of the US House, Newt Gingrich and his wife Calista.
Bogdan Pukszta (PACC), Rep. Mike Quigly, Henry Kazimierczak (PACC).
Because preparing makes good business sense, we were very pleased to share the PACC tent with Tom Kurasiewicz (COL, USAR, SC) and Marc Fisher (US Dept. of Health & Human Services), who represented FEMA with timely practical information and advice in both English and Polish.

As you may have noted from our earlier announcements, we had a great time during the Aug. 21 PACC annual Summer Outing aboard Chicago‘ First Lady. And again, we thank our generous supporters and sponsors, including the PNC Bank; Golfer’s Paradise; Fuksa Khorshid LLC; Grazyna Skoczen – Cosmetologist; Fragomen; tvpChicago; Radio Ampol; AR TV Chicago; InformacjeUSA; DAXAM; BeeCloser.com, and others. During the eventful summer months, sometime between our golf and boat outings, we were very pleased to connect with the first winner of the PACC’s Anna & Tony Zaskowski Scholarship. Congratulations again to David Sekula, and his parents. We wish David all the best as he begins to pursue his first college degree (in history and international relations) at the University of Redlands (CA), and we look forward to reconnecting with him during the next holiday break!
