Uroczystość prowadził jeden ze sponsorów i wolontariuszy Fundacji, John Wojciechowski.

Wśród licznie zgromadzonych gości byli m.in.: Bp. Thomas Paprocki, Kongresman-elekt Mike Quigley, Anna Montana, burmistrz miasteczka Schiller Park, Paul Odrobina i Marian Grabowski, ze Związku Narodowego Polskiego, Virginia Sikora, prezes Polish Women Alliance, Charles Komosa, Sekretarz ZNP, Walter Kotaba, Honorowy Przewodniczący Komitetu Budowy Centrum.
Przedstawiciele organizacji Polonijnych oraz kongresman Mike Quigley( z prawej) dokonują przecięcia wstęgi.
Po przemówieniach i uroczystym przecięciu wstęgi odbyła się konferencja prasowa, gdzie m.in. prezes Fundacji, Krystyna Pasek oraz generalni kontraktorzy, a zarazem sponsorzy i wolontariusze, Waldemar Czerpak i Marek Jezuit, mówili o szczegółach realizacji projektu.

Dar Serca służy ciężko chorym i niepełnosprawnym dzieciom, które przyjeżdżają z Polski i innych krajów Europy na operacje do Stanów Zjednoczonych. Na przestrzeni 20 lat około 500 dzieci skorzystało z pomocy Fundacji Dar Serca, która jest sponsorowana przez Polonię.

The Gift from the Heart Children’s Center Opening Ceremony
SCHILLER PARK/ CHICAGO: On April 15 2009, the official opening ceremony of the Gift from the Heart Foundation’s rehabilitation and care facility took place in Schiller Park, near Chicago.

The ceremony was conducted by one of the Foundation’s sponsors and volunteers, John Wojciechowski. Among the many guests were: Bishop Thomas Paprocki, Congressman Mike Quigley, Anna Montana, Mayor of Schiller Park, Paul Odrobina and Marian Grabowski of the Polish National Alliance, Virginia Sikora, president of the Polish Women’s Alliance, Charles Komorosa, secretary of the PNA and Walter Kotaba, Honorary Chairman of the Construction Committee.

After the speeches and ceremonial cutting of the ribbon, a press conference was held where the President of the Foundation, Krystyna Pasek, as well as general contractors, sponsors and volunteers discussed the details of the project.

The Gift from the Heart Foundation cares for children with severe illnesses and disabilities, who arrive from Poland and other European cuntries to have surgery in the United States. Over the course of 20 years, 500 children have received assistance through the Foundation, which is sponsored by the Polish community.
