Polish American Chamber News & Event Update (11/11)

The PACC October 20th Business After Hours meeting was hosted by Flowers By Arrangement. The PACC member company moved recently to Chicago’s West Town, and the networking event which was attended by a diverse crowd representing businesses and institutions from across Chicagoland, also served as a timely warming of the new location.

PACC President Lucas Fuksa who welcomed all members and guests in attendance, also thanked Maryla and Wojtek Zarnecki of Flowers By Arrangement for their hospitality, and recognized special guests, including Illinois Appellete Court candidates Justice Nathaniel Roosevelt Howse, Jr. and Judge Jessie Reyes, and Barbara Moore who’s running for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District. Their remarks generated much interest and appreciation.

By tradition, the program of the evening featured introductions of PACC’s new members. Those present had an opportunity to meet and greet Halina Wikar (Taxes – The Financial Services Corp.); Paul Kolpak (Kolpak & Lerner); Pawel Zielonka (InLinePartners); and Alina Kasperek (T-Mobile).

Traditionally, during the month of October, PACC members had numerous opportunities to integrate with others, and to celebrate the annual Polish American Heritage Month. Notable programs included the Oct. 19 Ald. O’Connor event, and the Oct. 16 Polish American Heritage Award Banquet. Congratulations again to all award recipients, including PACC members Adam Andrzejewski and Agnes Ptasznik.

We were also very pleased to note that PACC Director Anna Morzy of Fragomen had a good and productive time while traveling to China as part of Illinois Gov. Quinn’s delegation.
