arena Although his agent Drew Rosenhaus might bark, “Next question!” to such an idea, the Chicago Rush are willing to find out.

The Rush announced Wednesday that they have extended a contract offer to the six-time NFL Pro Bowl wide receiver for the 2012 season.

“We feel that this is an ideal time to approach the future NFL Hall of Famer,” Rush general manager and president Gene Nudo said in a statement. “It would be a fantastic honor to add Terrell to our current roster for the 2012 season.”

Rush Owens, 37, conducted a private workout Tuesday in Calabasas, Calif., that drew no NFL representatives. He’s recovering from a torn ACL suffered last spring and says he’s ready to return after making 72 receptions for 983 yards and nine touchdowns for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010.
