Forys Chicago, September 17, 2009— Dr. Victor Forys, 54, a Chicago area Democrat,  Polish immigrant and founder of the Central Medical Clinic of Chicago  announced his intention to run for the 17th District seat of the Cook County Board of Commissioners.

As a practicing physician and medical clinic owner serving over 10,000 patients in Cook County, Forys knows first-hand the importance of providing people with access to affordable, quality health care in our community. Forys has also learned that we must find a way to control the skyrocketing costs while continuing to provide the highest quality of care.

“I have truly lived the American dream and I want to give back to my community and the people who have given me so much,” Forys said. “I believe that public service is the best way to do that. I understand that it is not only a great honor, but also a great responsibility.”

Forys has received the endorsements of Congressman Mike Quigley and Commissioner Larry Suffredin.
