Dear Members and Friends of the Polish American Medical Society,
We are delighted to share our latest Polish American Medical Society Member Spotlight, celebrating the remarkable achievements of Dr. Ewa Radwańska. Dr. Radwańska’s outstanding career, pioneering contributions to infertility treatment, and dedication to the Polish American medical and scientific community have made a lasting impact on the lives of many.
Dr. Radwańska’s contributions have been widely honored, including receiving, as the first woman, an honorary doctorate from the Medical University of Warsaw—a distinction awarded to the most distinguished individuals over the institution’s 90-year history. She is the recipient of many awards, including, in 2012, the Cavalier’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. She is the author of many scientific publications as well as of her autobiography, Helping Women and Mother Nature.
Most recently, in April 2025, Award was awarded the Kościuszko Foundation Recognition Award for her service as a Foundation trustee spanning many decades. Dr. Radwańska’s longstanding relationship with the Kościuszko Foundation is a cornerstone of her international impact. Since 1996, she served as a Trustee, playing a vital role in advancing the Foundation’s philanthropic achievements and raising its profile. Through her generous commitment of time, resources, and expertise, Dr. Radwańska has supported Polish students and helped create scholarship opportunities for medical professionals. She is deeply committed to the Foundation’s mission of empowering individuals through education. Her active participation embodies the Foundation’s goal of fostering connections, positioning her as both a mentor and a prominent advocate for Polish-American cooperation in the medical field.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Radwańska is celebrated for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to helping others—be it her patients, colleagues, or the broader academic community.
