Girl Scouts Food Drive 2008

For every 100 items dropped off at one time directly at a Girl Scout collection location, a registered Girl Scout troop will receive not only ten entries in a drawing for a free Girl Scout Program Activity for her entire Girl Scout troop, but also a Girl Scout Food Drive Patch for each girl.

Community members joining the Girl Scouts in this drive may choose to donate on behalf of a particular Girl Scout. Individuals dropping off food items at Dominick’s may call the closest Girl Scout collection location to enter the girl in the drawing, providing the girl’s troop number and the number of food items donated. The Girl Scout will receive one entry into the drawing for every ten items donated.

About Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana

For more than 95 years, Girl Scouts has been the nation’s premier organization for girls and women.  Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana has merged seven councils into one, impacting more than 94,000 girls and 24,000 adult members, in 245 communities in six Illinois counties (Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kankakee, Lake and Will) and four Indiana counties (Jasper, Lake, Newton, and Porter).  Sharing strengths and best practices, and using resources wisely and effectively will allow local Girl Scouting to personalize girls’ leadership development.  Regardless of the changes in the name and face of the Girl Scout council, Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana remain committed to the Girl Scout Mission: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. www.girlscoutsgcnwi.org
