Northbrook, IL — Next week, join the Tenth Congressional District Democrats (Tenth Dems) as its Tenth Dems University (TDU) hosts David Yepsen for a discussion about the 2016 campaign on Wednesday, May 18, from 7 PM to 8:30 PM, at the Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, Pollak Room A.
Director of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, David Yepsen was the chief political reporter for The Des Moines Register where he worked for 34 years. He was dubbed “The King of the Iowa Caucuses” by The Washington Post. According to the late Sen. Paul Simon, “Every four years the chief political reporter for The Des Moines Register becomes the most important reporter in the nation.”
David Yepsen is a longtime TV political commentator. In addition to weighing in on cable news, he also was the Keynote Speaker at the Tenth Dems’ 2015 Annual Awards Dinner where he discussed the upcoming Iowa caucuses. The crowd loved him, and Yepsen enjoyed answering numerous thoughtful questions from the audience. And, not surprisingly, David Yepsen correctly predicted that Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton would win the Republican and Democratic contests in Iowa.
If you’re interested in this year’s exciting presidential race, you can’t find anyone better than David Yepsen to talk about what has happened and to break down what likely will take place through Election Day.
Tenth Dems is a grassroots organization that works to elect Democrats at all levels within Illinois’ 10th Congressional District.
TDU’s free courses and events offer a chance to become a more informed voter as well as a more active and effective political volunteer. Events often feature elected officials, candidates, political analysts, and authors.
