Also scheduled to participate in the ceremony are several legislators from the New York City area: Senate Majority Leader Malcolm Smith, Senator Frank Padavan and Assemblymen Joseph Lentol, William Scarborough and Mark Weprin.
From the Canadian border down to the New York City metropolitan area, the Congress is spearheading a political revival in the State’s Polish American communities and bringing this revival to the attention of New York’s political officials, according to Chet Szarejko who chairs the Downstate’s Political Activities Committee.
“Our Voter Registration Committee conducted an extensive registration drive last year and its chairman, Chris Rybkiewicz plans to repeat with another one this year,” said Szarejko.
