WBEZ’s Curious City—a radio program that answers listeners’ questions about Chicago—is looking for Polish-Americans who were part of the Solidarity Migration, or came here after the collapse of the Soviet Union. They are collecting stories and memories from those migrations, in order to learn more about why so many Poles came to Chicago at different times.
If you or a family members have memories or stories about coming to Chicago for the first time, you can call their hotline: 888.789.7752 or email them at [email protected].
Parts of your story may be used on the radio. Other stories will be collected in WBEZ’s archive, and will help Curious City producers better understand the Polish migrations to Chicago.
