Secretary White — Wonderful Example of Super-Ager and Charitable Work

There was a media report about Jesse White, Illinois Secretary of State, charitable work during this weekend. The report presented his involvement in coordinating food program – 1,600 turkeys for the needy families in the Chicago area. This is a great example of his charitable work during the Holiday season. This is a small example of what Secretary White does for People.

Secretary White charitable work has long history. It is a very practical approach that serves thousands of people every single year. I have watched, witnessed and helped with some of his holiday programs offered usually in December that help about 10,000 needy families. I have been seen his involvement in serving on front lines to help and reach out to families, seniors in need.
Secretary White sets a wonderful example of competent, dedicated public service for children, youth, families and seniors.

The other wonderful example of his public, charitable work is an internationally known as Jesse White Tumbling Team. Secretary White established it in 1959 as a positive alternative for children residing in and around the Chicago area. Since its inception, more than 16,000 young men and women have performed with the team. White has spent 56 years working as a volunteer with the team to help kids stay away from gangs, drugs, alcohol and smoking, and to help set at-risk youth on the path to success”.

The Jesse White Tumbling Team performs during parades, public events, during different festivities. There were 1,500 performances using seven units in 2015.  His athletes help with other charitable lines of work as well.
Secretary White is the 37th Secretary of State in Illinois. He is a very popular elected public official among voters. You can read on the official website that “The Illinois Secretary of State’s office is the largest and most diverse office of its kind in the nation, providing more direct services to the people of Illinois than any other public agency”. You can read many other important facts about his public service on the following website.  http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/about_us/secwhitebio.pdf
Secretary White public and charitable work is very consistent. It lasts for decades. It is a lifelong contribution to millions of people in Illinois.

In 2015 there was 2015White House Conference on Aging and there has been a lot of discussion about Aging issues across the Nation. When we watch, see, talk with Hon. White you can see a Super-Ager, a very dedicated and active public servant, dedicated to many charitable causes.

He served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division and as a member of the Illinois National Guard and Reserve and he can perform physical activities that are very difficult to perform by younger people.\

I want to take this opportunity to express appreciation for being able to see such a dedicated public servant in action. It is an honor to meet Secretary White on different occasions. He is a very approachable person. He usually greets me with a few Polish words.

Secretary White, You have encouraged and inspired me on many occasions. Thank you in behalf of many people that you have been helping.
