Chicago, January 22, 2010—The Chicago Sun-Times today endorsed Victor Forys for the Cook County Board of Commissioners in the 17th District over two other democratic opponents.
“I’m honored to have received the endorsement of the Chicago Sun-Times. I am glad that the need for a medical doctor on the County Board is being recognized by so many and I believe the voters will feel the same,” said Forys. “I’m eager to get to work and bring about some much needed reform.”
In addition to the endorsement of the Chicago Sun-Times, Victor Forys has received the endorsements of the Chicago Tribune, the Daily Herald, SEIU-Illinois Council, SEIU-Doctors Council, SEIU-Local 1, IVI-IPO, United States Congressman Mike Quigley, State Representative John Fritchey, Cook County Commissioner Forrest Claypool, Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin, Metropolitan Water and Management District Commissioner Frank Avila, and the Illinois Committee for Honest Government.
