TICKETS ON SALE NOW FOR MUSEUM’S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD AND HOLIDAY OF LIGHTS EXHIBITS, OPENING NOVEMBER 13

WHAT: The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago (MSI) announced today that its beloved annual holiday exhibit, Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light, will open on November 13. The Museum will have limited capacity to ensure physical distancing and to create additional time and space for visitors. Timed-entry admission tickets are required. Guests should reserve tickets online to select their preferred visit date and time, and to take advantage of contactless admission upon arrival. Over 40 trees and displays will decorate the Museum’s large Rotunda and vast halls. Decorated by local volunteers representing Chicago’s diverse communities, the trees feature hand-selected and hand-crafted decorations that honor holidays and cultures from around the world.

The 45-foot-tall Grand Tree with more than 30,000 twinkling lights stands in the domed Rotunda, providing a perfect backdrop for holiday photos. Holidays of Light recognizes the traditions of Chinese New Year, Diwali, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Hanukkah, Visakha Puja Day, and St. Lucia Day. Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light is included in Museum Entry.

Tickets are $21.95 (ages 12 and up) and $12.95 (ages 3 to 11), with discounts for Chicago residents. The exhibit runs through January 3, 2021.
