Arab media has announced that Al Qaeda has selected Ayman al-Zawahiri name as its new chief following the killing of Osama Bin Laden by United State commandos in May 2 attack in Pakistan.

The general command of Al Qaeda has declared, after discussions, the appointment of Sheikh Ayman al-Zawahiri as head of the Al Qaeda.
