Why did we record this interview in Polish? Chicago area has high concentration of the Polish Americans. It is estimated that there are around 1 million Polish Americans living in Illinois. Many Polish-Americans, especially Seniors, use Polish as the first language at home. We want to share vital information with them.

It is estimated that the Polish language is the third most popular language in Chicago and in Cook County, obviously after English and Spanish. There are about 10 millions of the Polish Americans living in the United States.

TV Polvision host – Margaret Ptaszynska is a very well known public personality in Chicago who covered many local, state, national issues for last 15 years.

TV Host and the audience expressed interest to learn more about:

* the significance of the 2015 White House Conference on Aging

* current Anniversaries like the 50th Anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid

* 80th Anniversary of Social Security benefits

* American social phenomena like Baby Boomers generation (1946-1964). We talked briefly about famous Coach “K” Krzyzewski, who was born In 1946, who recently visited Chicago. Mrs. Ptaszynska was one of the Masters of ceremony, sharing paltform with him during several celebrations.

Coach “K” is an outstanding example of the professional success, team work, visionary approach, ability to work with diversified people, healthy lifestyle and constant involvement. He is a person that exemplifies incredible changes that take place in the American Society in the area of Aging.
