BUSINESS WORKS” SEMINAR, COMING THURSDAY NIGHT- SEPTEMBER 8

 WHO:
The City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) along with the City Colleges of Chicago and Best Buy offer another “Business Works” seminar, a free event for entrepreneurs to connect with important business resources and attend workshops.  
 
WHAT:
 
• Visit with exhibitors from 30 government and non-profit agencies that assist small businesses with loans, business plans, licensing, compliance, forming a legal entity, tax information and more.
• Attend workshops on how to start a business, how to finance your business, and business marketing.  
• Attendees will hear from keynote speaker, Marc Schulman, President of Eli’s Cheesecake, on how to start and succeed in business today.
• Win valuable raffle prizes, donated by Best Buy.

WHY:
Since 2007, BACP has organized and offered  “Business Works” Seminars that have assisted thousands of entrepreneurs get in business by connecting them with access to government and non-profit agencies that provide small business assistance as well as regulatory information about licensing requirements, and access to capital.  The “Business Works” seminars are one of the many ways BACP is helping start and grow business in every community. Other programs include free business  workshops and free one-on-one counseling  about small business loans, legal assistance and business plan development through the Small Business Solution Station.
