The Chicago Fire Soccer Club, the Chicago Fire Foundation, MLS W.O.R.K.S., Major League Soccer’s community outreach initiative, and University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System announced Monday the Fire’s efforts to aid in MLS’ breast cancer awareness campaign as part of Soccer Kicks Cancer, an initiative focused on raising awareness and funds for cancer research and treatment and providing strength and hope in the fight against cancer affecting men, women and children.
Lions receiver Calvin Johnson entered Monday night’s game in Chicago averaging 112 receiving yards a game. Then he went up against Bears cornerback Charles Tillman.
The result was a bad game for Johnson, who caught just three of the 11 passes thrown to him, for 34 yards, and a bad game for the Lions’ offense.
