An enrichment evening of history will take place when presenter, Carl Katafiasz showcases one of the great mysteries and tragedies of World War II. The lecture will take place at the Livonia Civic Center Library, Monday, September 12, 2016 at 7:00 P.M.
What really happened to those many thousands of Polish Army Officers and what has recently been discovered that is rewriting history? See how complicated the atrocity was to conduct and even more, the massive conspiracy to cover up the actions. What was the “People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs” – NKVD and how were they involved? The event is part of the History Lives at the Library series sponsored by the Friend of the Livonia Public Library.
The Livonia Civic Center Library is one in the largest in the area. It features a vast array of interesting books and rare publications and has wireless internet access. This Civic Center Library is a public library and the venue for a variety of children’s programs, workshops, concerts and community events.
