The Battle of Grunwald /Tannenberg/Zalgiris that took place on July 15, 1410 between the Polish-Lithuanian United Army and the the Teutonic Knights (Germans and and knights from all of the western world). http://www.balzekasmuseum.org

The spectacular victory of United Forces destroyed the Teutonic Order and put a stop to an aggressive expansion of Germans (later Prussia) to the east for the next 350 years and saved the Lithuanian Nation from annihilation. This resulted in enormous prosperity in the region for the Polish-Lithuanian Kingdom under the rule of the Jagiellonian Dynasty that once consisted of the territory of present  Poland,  Ukraine, Belarus,Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, and the western part of Russia with Moscow. The land spread from Baltic to the Black Sea. The Kingdom was the dominant force in Europe for over 300 years and could only be matched by Ottoman Turks Empire. In the end, the Ottoman Turks were defeated by the Polish Army and western forces in 1683 in the battle of Vienna that saved Western Civilization from Muslims.

All visitors, especially Polish Americans, are cordially invited to mark our presence and to commemorate this significant historical event that is not very well known here in America, but that changed the history of Europe.
