Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Symposium Partnership with Chicago Sister Cities

Through a generous grant from the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation, a competitive application process awarded 21 clinicians from 21 different sister cities the chance to attend the symposium held at the Fairmont Chicago from October 4-7, 2012. The initiative presented an unrivaled opportunity for clinicians from around the globe to interface with a world-renowned cancer center and tour one of the busiest and most comprehensive women’s cancer centers in the country, the Maggie Daley Center for Women’s Cancer Care. In addition, the international visitors learned about practical patient care strategies, exciting breakthroughs in breast cancer research, and explored research opportunities. Dr. Steve Rosen, Director of the Lurie Cancer Center, along with Stephanie Lieber, Chair of the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation, presented awards to the honorees at a dinner reception.
