The 2011 Movies in the Parks season is in progress! Chicago is proud to present over 175 movies in neighborhood parks all across the city. Here is a selection of just some of the movies that will be playing in parks where significant Polish populations live:
JULY
Friday July 9th at Chopin Park (3420 North Long Avenue):
Yogi Bear (PG) A documentary filmmaker travels to Jellystone Park to shoot a project and soon crosses paths with Yogi Bear, his sidekick Boo-Boo, and Ranger Smith.
Monday July 18th at Shabbona Park (6935 W. Addison Street):
Despicable Me (PG) When a criminal mastermind uses a trio of orphan girls as pawns for a grand scheme, he finds their love is profoundly changing him for the better.
Friday July 22nd at Kosciuszko Park (2732 North Avers Avenue):

August
Wednesday August 3rd at Kosciuszko Park (2732 North Avers Avenue):
Latino Film Festival Selection- underwritten by the International Latino Cultural Center.
Friday August 12th at Kilbourn Park (3501 N. Kilbourn Ave):
Salt (PG-13) A CIA agent goes on the run after a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Starring Polish Film Star Daniel Olbrychski next to Angelina Jolie.
Monday August 15th at Wicker Park (1425 N. Damen Ave):
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World (PG-13) Scott Pilgrim must defeat his new girlfriend’s seven evil exes in order to win her heart.
