Dear PACC Members and Friends,
This year again, we have had a hot and eventful summer. Our annual Boat Outing on August 18 lived up to its reputation as the event that best captures the true essence of Chicago and its people, especially members and friends of the PACC. We had a great time aboard the ‘Summer of George,’ and we thank all who participated and/or sponsored, including DAXAM; PRCUA; Fundusz Michaela H. We also thank again everyone who golfed, or spent just a part of the day with us, participating in the August 16 Golf Outing and Business After Hours. While everyone who participated was a winner, the foursome that ended up with the best scores includedDan Pikarski, Marek Placek, Matthew Stanio, and Jill Behnke. Congratulations also go to Beat the Pro, longest drive, closest to the pin, and the chipping and putting contest winners and to all the lucky winners of numerous raffle prizes.

On August 28, some of us took a break from outdoors fun, and participated in an excellent briefing and discussion on Polish capital market trends and opportunities, featuring Pawel Sliwinski, CEO of INVESTcon Group SA.
And last but not least, despite the first stormy night, this year’s Labor Day Weekend Taste of Polonia was very successful. This was to a large degree thanks to the volunteer efforts PACC members and friends provided on Saturday, Aug. 31, by helping out in the festival’s beer garden.
We also thank all who helped man the PACC promotional booth, esp. during the first stormy night, or just stopped to say ‘hello.’
