Pappas Welcomes Polish Highlanders to her Holiday Party

Photo caption:  Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas (center) welcomes Polish Musical Group Kapela Staszka Pajakas to her Annual Holiday Party.  Several hundred persons from diverse ethnic and religious groups attended Pappas’ Holiday Party, which has become a tradition in the Treasurer’s Office at the Cook County Building in downtown Chicago.  Guests viewed more than 90 Christmas trees and religious and cultural displays from different ethnic groups of Cook County and sang carols as the Treasurer played the keyboard.
