Early spring 2011 has been busy. First, the Polish American Chamber of Commerce (PACC) monthly gathering on Thursday, March 17 was a remarkable event with regard to both the number and the variety of guests who attended, and the fact that it doubled as the Chamber’s annual meeting. The special venue, the new DiSotto Enoteca wine bar, brought high praise from all attendees and will certainly become one of our preferred venues in the future.
PACC president Lucas Fuksa welcomed all members and guests and thanked the Seneca Hotel for hosting the meeting. In his remarks, Fuksa reflected on PACC’s accomplishments in 2010, and on the Chamber’s plans and priorieties for the remainder of 2011.
Traditionally, the program of the evening featured introductions of PACC’s newest members. Those present had an opportunity to meet and greet Andy Krygowski of PolFun Media and Halina Bielowicz of US Technologies, Inc.
Hosted by Koenig & Strey Real Living, Iwona Filipiak and Rich Murawski, the March 31 combined PACC/Niles Chamber of Commerce and Industry networking event was a great success too, because many members and friends of both organizations came ready to network and to have fun. The event’s co-sponsors included Star-Tech Glass, the Chicago Ultimate Resource Center (CURC), and Costco.
With an eye on developments related to the April 5 Municipal Runoff Election, the PACC encourages all who can to vote to help elect a pro-business City Council. Click here or visit www.chicagoelections.com for more information about the runoff elections.
Now that real spring is just about upon us, we look forward to an exciting array of networking, conferencing and fun-filled programs in the near future.
And because the 3rd Thursday this month is Maundy Thursday, we will network instead on April 14 at the Polish Museum, and on April 26 by attending CURC’s Healthcare Reform seminar. More details about these and other PACC-sponsored or co-sponsored events can be found below. And as usual, more information will also soon be available in separate mailings.
