Polish Award Presentations, Photo Exhibit Debut in Chicago

CHICAGO (10/14/2011)(readMedia)– A photo exhibit featuring the Polish armed forces missions in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was unveiled Oct. 14 at the Illinois National Guard’s Calumet Armory in Chicago.

During the unveiling of the exhibit, members of the Illinois National Guard were presented with the Polish Army Medal (Bronze) for their actions while deployed with the Polish Land Forces from January to October 2010.

Illinois National Guard Soldiers have deployed alongside Polish forces to Iraq and Afghanistan on every Polish deployment.
