This year’s theme, “Highlanders and the Sea,” focuses on the connections between highland traditions and maritime activities.
The event will feature notable figures connected to both highlands and the sea:

Mariusz Zaruski: A pioneer of Polish sailing and brigadier general, known for his contributions to literature and mountaineering, and for founding the Tatra Volunteer Emergency Service.

Miłosz Sowa: A sailor and journalist with Highlander roots, who wrote extensively about Polish culture and was connected to the Tatra Culture Foundation in Summit, Illinois.

Dariusz Stopka: Vocalist of the beloved shanties band “Młynn,” who will perform maritime songs.

Bogdan Ogórek: An avid sailor and philanthropist dedicated to preserving Tatra culture. He is the co-founder and president of the Tatra Mountain Cultural Foundation and will present a lecture titled “100th Anniversary of the Marriage of the Highlander and the Sea,” exploring the cultural ties between these two worlds.
The program will also feature a performance by the band Tatry, which will provide the musical setting for the event, and guests will have the opportunity to view the exhibition “100 Years of Polish Sailing,” available until March 15.

Mottem tegorocznego wydarzenia jest temat „Góral a morze”, który koncentruje się na powiązaniach pomiędzy tradycjami góralskimi a działalnością żeglarską.
Wydarzenie skupi się na postaciach związanych zarówno z górami, jak i morzem:
– Mariusz Zaruski: pionier polskiego żeglarstwa i generał brygady, znany ze swoich osiągnięć w literaturze i alpinizmie oraz założyciel Tatrzańskiej Służby Ratunkowej.
– Miłosz Sowa: żeglarz i dziennikarz o góralskich korzeniach, który szeroko pisał o polskiej kulturze i był związany z Fundacją Kultury Tatrzańskiej w Summit, Illinois.
– Dariusz Stopka: wokalista znanej grupy szantowej „Młynn”, który zaprezentuje utwory morskie.
– Bogdan Ogórek: żeglarz i filantrop, który angażuje się w ochronę kultury tatrzańskiej. Jest współzałożycielem i prezydentem Fundacji Kultury Tatrzańskiej i wygłosi wykład pt. „Stulecie zaślubin górala z morzem”, badając kulturowe powiązania między tymi dwoma światami.
W programie przewidziany jest również wspaniały występ zespołu Tatry, który zapewni taneczną i muzyczną oprawę wydarzenia, a goście będą mieli okazję zobaczyć wystawę „100 lat polskiego żeglarstwa” dostępną do 15 marca.
