Kowalczyk finished behind only one skier, Richard Tonkin of Canada. The competition will continue this Wednesday in Minneapolis, Minn. and then down to Fox River Grove, IL where Kowalczyk will be jumping in front of several hundred of his Chicago fans, cheering him on as he competes against ski jumpers from Ukraine, Canada, Norway and Finland on Sunday, Jan. 27 at noon during the famous Norge Ski Jumping Competition in the small town just 40 miles west of Chicago.
Admission for the event is $15 however pre-sale buttons are available at several area merchants in both Fox River Grove and Cary for just $10. Norge is located just 3 blocks from Rts. 22 and 14. There are free shuttle buses from the Metra Station to the jumping hill, making it very easy for those wishing to ride the train from Chicago to Fox River Grove. The shuttle will run from 11am. till 5pm.
