The Chopin Foundation announces its 2016-2017 Concert Season

Miami- The Chopin Foundation of the United States, a Miami-based national non-profit organization with international impact, proudly announces its new season of concerts celebrating the organization’s fortieth anniversary.

As part of the annual Chopin for All Free Concert Series, the two top finalists from the 2015 National Chopin Competition will make their S. Florida encore appearances: Eric Lu, the Competition’s First Prize winner, will perform a duo program with the excellent young violinist, Ariel Horowitz. Second prize winner Rachel Kudo, returns in a duo piano recital with a renowned Miami-based pianist, Marina Radiushina. And as part of its international artist exchange program, the Chopin Foundation will present two of Poland’s outstanding young pianists, Krzysztof Ksiazek and Anna Miernik.

Each of the seven concerts in this free series, which runs monthly from November through May, is presented twice: on Saturdays at the Broward County Main Library in Fort Lauderdale, and on Sundays at the Granada Presbyterian Church in Coral Gables.

More Polish flavor will spice up the Chopin Salon Concert Series.
Three distinguish Polish pianists will be featured: Janusz Olejniczak, known for recording the best-selling soundtrack of Roman Polanski’s movie The Pianist; the jury Chair from Warsaw’s International Chopin Competition, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron; and a former pupil of Leonard Bernstein, Marek Drewnowski, will complete the star-studded list of pianists on this Polish infused series. All three salon concerts are followed by a wine reception and will be presented at the elegant La Gorce Country Club on Miami Beach,
