The story of a legendary river . . .

The New Au Sable by Dave Jankowski and Thomas Buhr explores the people, traditions, and defining moments that shaped one of the world’s most famous rivers. From fly fishing guides and bamboo rod makers to Fred Bear, the Au Sable River Canoe Marathon, and the resilience shown in times of crisis, this book offers a vivid history of a place bound together by devotion, craft, and community.

„Dave Jankowski and Tom Buhr know the Au Sable’s mysteries and customs better than most and have worked tirelessly to bring back to life so many of its legendary camps, anglers, and fly tyers.”

-John Bebow, retired founder of Bridge Magazine
