The Visual History of Polish Chicago – invitation

Dear Friends and Members of the Polish Museum of America,

I would like to warmly invite you to my upcoming event, “The Visual History of Polish Chicago,” where I will present and discuss the results of more than two years of my work and research in Chicago.

The evening will take the form of a (hopefully) entertaining “visual essay” – a screening of selected archival materials I have collected, accompanied by my live commentary on the history of American Polonia, Polish Chicago, amateur filmmaking, migration, memory, and the social life of images.

Please come by, say hello, and spend the evening with a wonderful crowd!
