Illinois Crisis Prevention Network selected by DHS to manage statewide network

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Crisis Prevention Network (ICPN), a partnership between Trinity Services, Inc. and The Hope Institute for Children and Families, has been selected by the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) to provide community-based crisis prevention services throughout the state of Illinois.  ICPN had previously provided clinical services in the northern half of Illinois, and services in the southern portion of Illinois were previously provided by Community Ties of America.  This new state wide coverage was initiated on July 1, 2012.

IMA Education Foundation Receives Motorola Solutions Foundation Innovation Generation Grant

OAK BROOK, IL – July 18, 2012 – The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) Education Foundation today announced it has received $50,000 as part of the Innovation Generation grant program from the Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions, Inc. Through the grant, the IMA Education Foundation will implement the Manufacturers Education Initiative, a comprehensive plan to prepare Illinois’ workforce for careers in advanced manufacturing.

Lipinski, Jones Introduce Bipartisan Bill to Require the United States Olympic Committee to Buy American

Today, Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-IL) and Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) introduced a bipartisan bill, H.R. 6132, to require the United States Olympic Committee to “Buy American” to ensure that the uniforms and equipment it supplies to American athletes are made by American workers whenever possible. As a federally chartered nonprofit corporation, the USOC must report every four years to Congress on its operations, receipts, and expenditures. The legislation will also require the Committee to include in its report data on where the goods it provides for athletes come from and a description of the steps it has taken to ensure they are made in the United States.

W rozegranym w niedzielę 15 lipca NAC VII SuperFinale PLFA drużyna Seahawks Gdynia pokonała na Stadionie Narodowym Warsaw Eagles 52:37. Jastrzębie zdobyły tym samym swój pierwszy tytuł mistrzów ligi. Mecz obejrzało 23 000 widzów. Sprzedano wszystkie przygotowane przez organizatorów bilety.

Police officers collecting money on anniversary of first special Olympics Games

NORMAL, Ill. – Law enforcement officers from around the state will take to the streets, restaurants, malls and parking lots of their communities to collect money for Special Olympics Illinois on Friday, July 20, the 44th anniversary of the first Special Olympics Games. The first Special Olympics Games took place at Chicago’s Soldier Field on July 20, 1968.

This is the third year for the “Spare Change for Real Change” event, which hopes to raise more than $25,000 for the Law Enforcement Torch Run® to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.
