Jasinski was ordained to the priesthood on May 5, 1954, by Cardinal Samuel Stritch, and celebrated his first solemn Mass on May 9 of the same year at St. Roman Parish in Chicago.
After ordination, Jasinski served as assistant pastor at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Calumet City, and in the following Chicago parishes: St. George Parish on Wentworth Avenue, St. Salomea Parish on Indiana Street, St. Barbara Parish on Throop Street, and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish on Keeler Street. He also served as associate pastor at St. Camillus Parish on Lockwood Avenue in Chicago and St. Bede Parish in Ingleside and as pastor at St. Helena of the Cross Parish on Parnell Avenue and St. John of God Parish on 52nd Street both in Chicago. He served as chaplain at Rosary Hill Convalescent Home in Justice where he resided throughout his retirement years.
Rev. Charles Becker, a former chaplain of Handmaids of the Precious Blood, was a close friend of Jasinski. They lived together for a few years in the Chaplaincy Residence of the Handmaids of the Precious Blood in Lake Villa. “His love and devotion to Our Lady through the Rosa Mystica Apparitions in Montichiari, Italy, as well as the Marian Movement of Priests, set his heart and apostolate on fire for helping people to renew their faith in Jesus through Mary, especially her tears and messages,” Becker said. “Thank you, Fr. Ray, for your committed ‘Yes’ to all Our Lady asked of you and for your fervent care for souls inspired by love for Our Lady and Our Lord!”
Visitation hours will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 29, at Damar Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue in Justice, and from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30, at Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission, 116 Hilton Street in Willow Springs.
