KF President Commemorates 2nd Anniversary of Russian Invasion of Ukraine

Kosciuszko Foundation President and Executive Director Marek Skulimowski visited Ukraine to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of the country. He also participated in several events to support Ukrainians during the war.

During the visit, the KF President laid flowers at the graves of Polish Ukrainians from Lviv who fought against Russia.

Together with the Folkowisko Foundation, the KF organized the “Mosty Kultur” conference in Lviv, gathering institutions and organizations to which we have dedicated our help programs over the past two years. It was an occasion to exchange experiences and discuss the causes of the highest priority needing help in humanitarian and cultural aspects.

Our organizations donated laptops to High School No. 10 named after St. Mary Magdalene in Lviv, which is one of two schools in Lviv offering bilingual education in Ukrainian and Polish languages.

During the conference, a symbolic flame of hope was ignited, symbolizing the belief that despite all the tensions, international cooperation and support are of great significance, sustaining hope for an end to the war.
