LOCAL ARTISTS GET INSPIRED BY CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOL CHILDREN

CHICAGO, Illinois – On Thursday, October 1st America SCORES Chicago will host the Inspired Art Project at the South Halsted Gallery at 1825 South Halsted Street. The Inspired Art project enlists local artists to create original pieces inspired by the poetry written by students in the America SCORES after-school program.

The young poets and professional artists explore subject ranging from loneliness, love and community issues to Halloween and fish funerals.  Doors will open at 6:00pm; the evening will feature the entire Inspired Art Project exhibit.  All 40 pieces of art will be auctioned off and proceeds from the event will benefit the America SCORES program.
