January 12, 2026, Philadelphia, PA

The 2nd Annual MFC National Flag Football Player of the Year award will be presented at the 89th Maxwell Awards

The Maxwell Football Club (MFC), home to several of football’s most prestigious awards, including the Maxwell, Chuck Bednarik, and Bert Bell awards, proudly announces that Keira Quinn from Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School (PA)-(Athena Athletics Club Football) has been selected as the winner of the club’s 2nd annual Girls Flag Football National High School Player of the Year award. The Philadelphia Eagles nominated Quinn.

Quinn, a quarterback at Gwynedd Mercy Academy, has established herself as one of the most accomplished and versatile players in the nation. Across her high school career, she has led her teams to a 30–3–2 overall record, including one championship, two finals appearances, and a Final Four berth, while posting historic production on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Quinn has totaled 4,622 passing yards with 94 touchdowns and added 1,664 rushing yards and 22 rushing touchdowns, setting multiple school records. During the 2025 season, she guided her team to an undefeated 13–0 campaign and a state championship, accounting for 100 points and throwing 40 touchdowns with just four interceptions. Defensively, she is equally dominant, recording 210 career tackles and 18 sacks, both school records. A two-time USA Football Junior National Team member and USA Football Select Bowl All-Tournament selection, Quinn has also competed at the highest national levels, including AAU Junior Olympics and World Championships. In the classroom, she carries a 3.8 GPA and earns honor roll distinctions, while off the field, she is a dedicated community leader, volunteering as a youth cheer and flag football coach, refereeing local leagues, and chairing school food drives.

Quinn was also selected to participate in the 2nd annual NFL Flag Girls High School Showcase. The showcase, which will take place as part of the Pro Bowl Games festivities in the days leading up to Super Bowl LX, features 32 high school athletes from around the country, squaring off on all-star teams styled as the AFC and the NFC. The game is slated to kick off on February 3, 2026, in San Francisco, California. Flag football fans can watch the game on ESPN.

Working in partnership with NFL clubs that submitted nominations throughout the fall, players were evaluated by the Maxwell Football Club’s national selection staff, which comprises leaders in girls’ flag football and women’s athletics across America. Student athletes were identified as finalists, and Quinn was chosen as the Maxwell Football Club National Flag Football Player of the Year.

The 2nd annual MFC National Flag Football Player of the Year award will be presented on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the 89th Maxwell Awards, which will be held at the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia.
