Outstanding Season For Polish Basketball Player

 

Greg Surmacz,  the 6′ 7″ power forward needs your vote.  The former University of Windsor and Kirkland Junior College standout is playing basketball for the Windsor Express of the new National Basketball League of Canada.  The league is in its second season.  
 
This Polish native son and has been a force for the 22-8, Express.  In a recent game at the WFCU Centre, Surmacz played well in front of the Windsor fans, leading the Express with fourteen rebounds while adding nine points and five assists.  That win was Windsor’s fifth in a row.   They are in second place in the Central Division.  They will travel to Prince Edward Island for their first playoff game this week.

Surmacz played or Team Canada in the 2009 World University Games in Belgrade.  He was the Ontario collegiate player of the year that season.
