The Krakow Philharmonic Choir,

The Washington Choral Arts Society,
and soloists from the
USA, Italy, Poland and Argentina.

The musical celebration, which is being offered free of charge, is to be broadcast nationally on PBS later this year, as well as in Europe and Latin America.

Peace Through Music “In Our Age” Concert
Monday, May 5 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
The Archdiocese of Washington along with Georgetown University; the ambassadors of Poland, Italy and Argentina; and PBS invite you to historic musical celebration of the canonizations of Pope John Paul II and Pope John XXIII in the spirit of Pope Francis at DAR Constitution Hall.

The concert, created and conducted by famed American conductor Sir Gilbert Levine, dubbed “The Pope’s Maestro,” celebrates the popes’ devotion to peace and brotherhood among people of all faiths.
The musical celebration, which is being offered free of charge, is to be broadcast nationally on PBS later this year, as well as in Europe and Latin America.

Cardinal Donald Wuerl, archbishop of Washington, will celebrate two Masses of thanksgiving for the canonization of St. John Paul II and St. John XXIII.

Following the Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Cardinal Wuerl will lead a procession to the St. John Paul II Shrine, which is located at 3900 Harewood Road N.E., Washington, DC 20017.
