State Policymakers and Students Come Together to Kick Off National School Choice Week

MIAMI (Jan. 15, 2019) – State Sen. Manny Diaz, Jr., and State Rep. Ana Maria Rodriguez will speak at a community festival Tuesday, Jan. 19 beginning at 2 p.m. at the Santa Cruz Resurrection Church in Biscayne Park.  Hundreds of students, parents, and teachers are expected to attend the festival, which will include entertainment from traditional Hispanic dancers, students, and professional entertainers.

This celebration coincides with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.

„To many Florida parents, nothing is more important than ensuring their kids have access to a quality education, so they’re prepared to succeed in life and to build their own American Dream, and providing educational choices to parents is the way to achieve that,” said Cesar Grajales, Director of Coalitions at The LIBRE Initiative.
