The opening of a retrospective, multimedia exhibition of artworks by Lidia Rozmus will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015, at 6 p.m. to 10. p.m., at The Polish Museum of America, 984 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL.
The exhibition, entitled, Views from Mole Hill, includes 20 oil paintings, 20 sumi-e paintings (ink on rice paper), 20 haigapaintings (ink on rice paper with haiku poetry), approximately 100 photographs showing the beauty of the Republic of Mole Hill, and the promotion of an anthology of haiku poetry by 18 American and Japanese poets entitled, Climbing Mole Hill. Also planned is a performance by the quartet led by Mieczyslaw Wolny, who composed musical pieces for Mole Hill (flute and bass flute); Michal Stygar (piano); Jacek Rokita (bass); Tomek Pilewski (drums).
Admission: A voluntary donation to the PMA – $10 ($5 for members).
Exhibit runs till Sunday, March 29, 2015.

Lee Gurga is a past-president of the Haiku Society of America and former editor of the journal, Modern Haiku. He is currently the editor of Modern Haiku Press. His honors include an Illinois Arts Council Poetry Fellowship, the Japan-American Society of Chicago’s Cultural Achievement Award, and an American Red Cross Healthcare Heroes Award.

Lidia Rozmus was born in Poland and studied at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, where she received her master’s degree in history of art. In 1980, she made her home in the United States. She works as a graphic designer, paints sumi-e and oils, and writes haiku. She has written and designed several portfolios and books of haiku, haibun, and haiga. Her paintings have been exhibited and her haiku published in the U.S., Japan, Australia, and Poland. She is art editor of the journal Modern Haiku and Mayfly and art director at Deep North Press.
„Widoki z Kreciej Góry”
Już jutro, w piątek, 20 marca 2015 roku, w godzinach od 18:00 do 22:00, w Muzeum Polskim w Ameryce w Chicago, IL odbędzie się multimedialna i retrospektywna wystawa Lidii Rozmus. Na wystawie zatytułowanej „Widoki z Kreciej Góry” pokazane zostanie około 20 obrazów olejnych, 20 sumi-e (tusz na ryżowym papierze), 18 haiga (tusz na ryżowym papierze połączony z poezją haiku), około 100 fotografii ukazujących piękno Republiki Kreciej Góry, promocja antologii haiku 18 poetów z US i Japonii zatytułowana „Climbing Mole Hill”, a także występ kwartetu Mieczysława Wolnego (flet i flet basowy); z muzyką skomponowaną dla Kreciej Góry w składzie: Michał Stygar (fortepian); Jacek Rokita (kontrabas); Tomek Pilewski (perkusja).
Wstęp to dobrowolna donacja przeznaczona na muzeum 10$ (członkowie – 5$)
