NATIONAL FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS MEMORIAL WEEKEND EVENTS MOVED TO MOUNT SAINT MARY’S PNC SPORTS COMPLEX ARENA

226 Fallen Firefighters to be honored on Sunday, May 5

EMMITSBURG, MARYLAND – Fire Hero Families from across the United States will attend the 43rd Annual National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) Memorial Weekend in Emmitsburg, MD, May 4-5, 2024.

Due to forecasted weather, the Candlelight Service (May 4 at 7:30 pm) and the Memorial Service (May 5 at 10:00 am) will both take place at PNC Sports Complex Arena at Mount St. Mary’s University. Parking is available onsite.

This national tribute honors 89 firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2023 and 137 firefighters who died in previous years. Each firefighter’s name will be inscribed on a bronze plaque and become a permanent part of the National Memorial in honor of their sacrifices.
