The Vintage Bazaar Announces Storefront Holiday Pop-Up Shop

Bazaar CHICAGO (October 18, 2011) – The Vintage Bazaar, the pop-up flea market which since its founding in 2010 has “popped up” in a series of event spaces in Chicago including Congress Theater, announced today the next incarnation of its traveling, temporary vintage markets: a holiday pop-up shop with 14 vendors, which will occupy a 3,500 square-foot storefront in Logan Square (2133 N. Milwaukee Ave.) from Friday, November 11 through Sunday, November 13.

The holiday pop-up shop will feature 14 vendors of vintage home decor, housewares, furniture, art, jewelry, clothing and accessories who will focus the bulk of their inventory on unique gift items for the holiday shopping season, housewares designed for entertaining, and clothing, jewelry and accessories to put a sparkle in holiday party get-ups. The vendor line-up is a curated crop of antique and vintage market dealers and fresh-on-the-scene online vintage retailers include Estate Chicago, Houndstooth Vintage, BackGarage, First Born Vintage, Hot House Market, cushionchicago, Dethrose Vintage, Yellowbirdd Vintage, Manly Vintage, Bombshellshocked, Dollparts Design, Apartment 528, and Studio Zvi.

The Vintage Bazaar will host a preview party on Friday, November 11 from

7pm-10pm featuring light fare, DJ entertainment, and beer and cocktails courtesy Logan Square gastropub Longman & Eagle, plus a chance to shop in advance of other weekend attendees. Regular shop hours are Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13 from 10am-7pm. There is no charge to attend the market during regular shop hours.
The Vintage Bazaar is a curated urban flea market and pop-up series that caters to a younger, vintage-loving set of urban shoppers in search of affordable home decor and fashion.

About The Vintage Bazaar
The first Vintage Bazaar took place February 27, 2010 at the DANK Haus in Lincoln Square. A second followed at the Congress Theater on August 22, 2010, and was attended by over 7,000 shoppers. The organizers also put together a Black Friday pop-up shop in a Logan Square storefront, it featured five vintage vendors over the post-Thanksgiving 2010 holiday. Recent flea markets include a May 14 flea with 50 vendors in an empty warehouse space in Pilsen, and an indoor/outdoor flea market on September 18, 2011 at the Congress Theater in Logan Square.
