Europe without Schuman will go bankrupt – not only economically

“If the construction of a superstate comes to fruition, we will function in a system of slavery” – Prof. Zbigniew Krysiak, chairman of the Program Council of the Institute of Schuman’s Thought said during the debate “The risk of bankruptcy of Europe without Robert Schuman” , which took place at Agere Contra in Warsaw. The economist emphasized that “Spinelli’s ideology is a thousand times worse than the Soviet Union.

Schuman spoke about the community of European nations. Some people say ‘Schuman laid the foundations for the European Union’. Absolutely not. Schuman did not create the foundations for the European Union. Schuman built the community of European nations” – Prof. Krysiak recalled emphasizing that “Spinelli’s ideology is a thousand times worse than the Soviet Union”.

“In 1992, the Maastricht Treaty was created, where the name of the European Economic Community was changed to the European Union. The idea was to slowly remove this community idea and introduce a uniform, i.e. move towards a superstate” – he referred to history. Robert Schuman was well aware that either Europe would persevere in the Christian community of spirit, or it would move towards the communist vision of Altiero Spinelli, as we have seen since the introduction of the Maastricht Treaty until today. It is worth noting that although it has been gradually implemented in the European Union, it has not yet shown its true face.

EU IS WORSE THAN SOVIET UNION?

If we refer to the “Ventotene Manifesto”, from which the current socalled politicians in Brussels want to create the foundations for the modern EU – an image of an economic collective farm will emerge, in which there is a central distribution of goods without private property reserved for not so much the new ruling class but the ruling caste. It is easy to guess that in modern conditions, this caste will be created by the owners of large corporations and the capital oligarchy, who will provide their employees with enough remuneration to survive. If we take into account the increasing pressure from leftist circles to introduce the killing of unborn children and old people as “human rights”, we should expect that the human “population” will be controlled using these tools. In such a world, retirement benefits will not be needed because any “unproductive” individual will be deprived of life the moment it ceases to generate income. This is what leads to the civilization of death, as Pope John Paul II talked about. Robert Schuman, who had good knowledge of Spinelli’s dangerous ideology, warned against the creation of a superstate and the destruction of the community of European nations as follows: “Beware of those whose charm leads you to passivity. Beware of those who want to lull you into a false sense of security. Beware of providers of empty assurances regarding security measures. They try to introduce in stages and step by step what the healthy spirit of the nation rejects and opposes. Their ultimate goal is clear. They are trying to extinguish religious life in the country and among the people. Out of love for our children, we want to prevent these consequences. This attitude we adopt should not result only from opposition, but above all because we cannot betray the soul of our nation.

The world of new communism is to be, according to the assumptions of its architects, subject to ubiquitous control using modern devices built into household objects – this is what the big data system is to serve. The European Commission predicts that by 2025 the total amount of data in the world will increase by 530% compared to 2018 and is expected to increase in the following years. Our privacy is already the focus of the big data system, and as more areas of human activity are added to it, there will be less and less space free from surveillance.

WHAT ABOUT DEMOCRACY?

When asked whether we should reform the EU from the inside or whether we should forget about the creation we have and start building it from scratch, Prof. Krysiak noted: “The institutional arrangement in Brussels, or in the European Union in general, where there is no democratic procedure for electing, for example, Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen, is reminiscent of the Soviet Union, where before the death of each dignitary, there was an agreement as to the positions they would hold. That is, no democratic procedures governed and we see exactly this similarity today. Schuman said that this community cannot be based on a superstate, because a superstate destroys the community, destroys diversity, destroys identity, destroys the entire color scheme of individual nations and therefore these steps towards building a community. They were supposed to have certain institutions, but not ultimately, but temporarily”. Schuman was an opponent of the superstate and warned against the threats it would create, including the destruction of Europe, its culture and its traditions, which he expressed as follows: “My idea is not to connect countries to create a superstate. Our European countries are a historical reality. Psychologically, it would be impossible and unwise to get rid of them. Their diversity is a good thing and there is no point in removing them or equalizing or unifying them”.

The economist explained that “transitional organizational forms were supposed to perform specific tasks and functions, and then their functioning was to expire”. He noted that Schuman emphasized that in a community the most important thing is to build relationships, then it will be strong and lasting. This relationship is to be transmitted into solidarity.

“Germany is a country that, unfortunately, is constantly building its position on capital domination. Their thinking goes back to the mentality of Germany in the fascist times of Hitler. This German mentality has survived. It has not undergone therapy. The Germans of World War II as compulsive murderers – just like we have alcoholics, drug addicts – they have not undergone therapy. Their addiction is capital violence, i.e. domination” – Prof. Krysiak diagnosed the situation. In this context, he pointed out, the issue of compensation is crucial. “If it does not happen, there will be no peace in Europe. Those who will lead to further tensions, divisions and clashes, even military ones, will be Germany” – he said.

THE THREAT IS SERIOUS

Referring to the need to take remedial measures, the chairman of the Program Council of the Institute of Schuman’s Thought noted that “in order to have an impact, you need to have a specific philosophy. Of course, it is all based on Christian values, but Schuman used the appropriate method and appropriate tools”. “In this method, an important issue was integrating people of good will. Schuman relied on people of good will. This is a necessity” – he judged.

He warned that if the construction of a superstate comes to fruition, we will function in a system of slavery, which in Spinelli’s ideology is a thousand times worse system than Soviet communism, because in Soviet communism there was an ideology combined with physical violence, prisons, but there were two sides of the barricade. “Everyone knew who was on one side of the barricade and who was on the other, even if those on the right side could not always speak freely” – he stated.

He pointed out that when Poland joined the EU, there was a large asymmetry between the economic potential of the EU and other member countries. “Schuman’s goal was for convergence to occur. We observe that this is not happening” – he noted. He emphasized that experts agree that in the EU economic model such equalization of the economic potential of individual nations will not be possible. “The pursuit of a superstate and Spinelli’s ideology, which largely guides groups of leaders in Germany, the Netherlands and France, leads to deterioration of economic efficiency. Also, if we look at the EU economic model, it is less and less competitive compared to other areas in the world” – he said.

“It is hardly surprising that the European economy is becoming less and less competitive, considering the goals pursued by the supporters of Spinelli’s ideology. These goals were very precisely defined in the Ventotene Manifesto. These include the abolition of private property and the central redistribution of goods. This is what is happening, for example by imposing ‘green levies’, including a speculative tax on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The Ventotene Manifesto was formulated in 1941, at a time when World War II was still going on and there were no such technical possibilities as now. Cashless transactions are being introduced at the moment. People are striving to eliminate money as cash. What will be the economic model they want to impose on us at this point and what economic mechanisms will they use? – the journalist of “Schuman Optics Magazine” asked.

“In the EU, there is an increasing differentiation in the distribution of profits. A group of 4-5 percent of the population receives 80% of the profits. They do not care that this model does not work positively for the rest, because they have full power. Just like the communist authorities cared about consolidating power and there was no analysis of well-being, a sense of well-being or needs. People were tools. It’s basically the same in this ideology”- Prof. Krysiak explained.

He added that, for example, in Germany, German capital shows solidarity with international capital, not with citizens, which is a destructive process that begins to disintegrate this economy. “There is therefore no thinking about a good, reasonable, logical economic model. The lust for power will end in the destruction of those who reach for it” – he concluded. “If there are no mechanisms to stop this process, it will lead to destruction. That’s why we titled this meeting that without Schuman, there will be destruction” – he noted. “Blindness, capital as god, causes a blockage of logical thinking. Today we observe a massive blockage of logical thinking in the world” – he emphasized. He pointed out that the perspective of owners of large capital is short-term, while Schuman’s thought has a long-term perspective, covering subsequent generations.

It is therefore clear that from an economic point of view, the system postulated by European left-liberal circles is doomed to bankruptcy. It will prevent social development, which is an essential factor for economic development, while the lack of the latter will lead to a crisis. It is worth noting here that neither the withdrawal of cash (which is being worked on) and replacing it with electronic money, nor the introduction of zero interest rates (which is also being talked about) will lead to the creation of a stable economic system, especially since we will have to dealing with a planned economy, which itself is burdened with a logical error. Some economists hope that electronic money generation will make it possible to respond to the demand for means of payment on the market, but this will be a fiction that has the potential to end in a greater financial disaster than the notorious Chinese economic “great leap”. Moreover, it is impossible to create any economic model on the basis of the “Ventotene Manifesto” that would have a chance of survival, not to mention the development – sooner or later it will collapse, like any communist utopia. The only question left open is how many victims it will take?
