Unique to Chicago, Facets Kids Film Camp is just one of many Facets Children’s Programs that open up a world of film and media to kids, giving them the essential tools for self-expression in a digital age.
Participation in the Camp also qualifies kids for other opportunities through Facets such as:
The Children’s Jury of the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival – Selected campers qualify for the prestigious jury of the country’s largest festival of films for children. Jurors view, critique, and award prizes for the 2011 Festival. By invitation only upon completion of Film Camp summer 2011.
Facets Film Ambassador Program – Selected Film Camp graduates may represent Facets as official delegates at renowned international children’s film festivals in Italy, Korea, India, and Canada (ages 12 to 14 only).
Critical Outlets – Film Camp Alumni contribute reviews of films for publication on the Festival website, in print, and on television.
