Polish American Medical Society – Scholarships in 2024
CHICAGO. The Polish American Medical Society has opened its application procedures to all students who are applying for our scholarship. The deadline for submitting applications for the Annual Academic Scholarships is March 30, 2024. PAMS awards over a dozen academic scholarships every year to students of Polish origin from the Chicago area who are studying medicine, dentistry, or veterinary medicine at universities in the USA or in Poland. Students are assessed based on their academic performance (GPA over 3.0), scientific achievements, interests, and participation in the Polish community. Acquiring funds to finance these scholarships is the most important mission of the Polish American Medical Society. The main event organized for this purpose is the Charity Physicians’ Ball, which has been held every year for over 70 years! In recognition of this tradition, PAMS receives donations for the scholarship fund from businesses, organizations, and individual donors. Efforts to sustain this fundraising activity rest on the shoulders of successive Presidents and the Board of Directors of PAMS. Many former PAMS scholars are already specialists in various fields; they serve the Polish community and are continually active in the initiatives of PAMS. There are numerous examples of joint activities of Polish doctors who provide reliable scientific information and medical care to our community. We hope that the next students who will receive scholarships from the Polish American Medical Society this year will also cooperate with us and be inspired by many years of PAMS successful activities and endeavors. The deadline for scholarship application submission is March 30, 2024.
